How to Deposit USDC to Showdown

Before you start, two things to keep in mind:

Always choose Solana as the network when sending. USDC exists on several networks (Ethereum, Base, Polygon and others). Only the Solana version reaches your Showdown wallet. Funds sent on another network are not recoverable.

Your Showdown deposit address is on the Deposit tab of your wallet. Copy it with the Copy address button, or scan the QR code with your phone. Solana addresses do not need a memo or tag. If an app asks for one, leave it empty.

I. Sending from Cash App (US)

Cash App is the simplest route if you are in the US: you do not need to buy crypto first. Cash App sends USDC straight from your normal dollar balance and converts the amount for you. Open Cash App and make sure you have enough in your Cash balance.Go to the Payment tab (the $ sign at the bottom). Paste your Showdown deposit address into the search bar at the top, or scan the QR code from the Deposit tab. Cash App recognizes it as a wallet address.

Enter the amount in dollars. Confirm that the network shown is Solana. Cash App also supports Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum, and any of those would send the funds where Showdown cannot see them. Review and tap Pay. The same dollar amount arrives in Showdown as USDC.

Good to know: You need to have verified your identity in Cash App before stablecoin sends are available. Cash App applies its own transaction limits. If your deposit is refused, try a smaller amount or check your limit in the app. The USDC feature is not offered in New York.Transfers are fee free on Cash App's side at the time of writing.

II. Buying USDC on Solana with Revolut

Revolut supports sending USDC over the Solana network directly from the app. Open Revolut and go to the Crypto section. Tap Buy and choose USDC. Once the purchase settles, tap Send (sometimes shown as Withdraw). Select USDC, then choose Solana as the network. Do not choose Ethereum. Paste your Showdown deposit address, or scan the QR code from the Deposit tab.

Enter the amount, review the network fee and confirm. Revolut may ask for a passcode or face check.

Good to know: The first time you send to a new address, Revolut may ask a few security questions or apply a short delay. Revolut applies daily and monthly crypto withdrawal limits that depend on your plan. If you hit one, split the deposit or wait until the limit resets. Crypto features are not available in every country Revolut operates in. If you do not see the Crypto section, use one of the exchanges in Part IV.

III. Buying USDC on Solana with Robinhood

Robinhood Crypto lets you buy USDC and send it out over the Solana network in supported regions. Open Robinhood and search for USDC. Tap Buy, enter the amount and confirm. If this is your first crypto transfer, go to the Crypto settings and turn on Crypto transfers. Robinhood may ask you to verify your identity and enable two factor authentication. Open your USDC position and tap Send (in some versions this is under Transfer). Choose Solana as the network. If only Ethereum is listed for USDC in your region, do not continue: send it to an exchange from Part IV first, or use the Credit card option in Showdown instead. Paste your Showdown deposit address or scan the QR code. Enter the amount, review the network fee and submit.

Good to know: Crypto bought with money that has not settled yet cannot be sent out immediately. Depending on how you funded the purchase, Robinhood can hold it for a few business days. Robinhood has daily limits on the value and number of crypto transfers. Network fees for Solana are very small, usually a fraction of a cent, but Robinhood may still show a fee line.

Part IV. Sending USDC from an exchange

The steps are almost identical on Coinbase, Binance, Kraken and Bybit. Coinbase is used here as the example.Sign in to Coinbase and make sure you hold USDC. If not, buy USDC or convert another coin into USDC using the Convert or Trade feature. Tap Send (on the web: Send and Receive, then the Send tab). Choose USDC as the asset. Paste your Showdown deposit address. Coinbase recognizes it as a Solana address; confirm that the network shown is Solana. If the network selector shows something else, change it to Solana before continuing. Enter the amount. You can send from 1 USDC. Review the fee and confirm with your two factor code. On other exchanges the network selector is usually labelled Solana, SOL or SPL. Any of those is correct. Ethereum, ERC-20, BSC, BEP-20, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum and Tron are all wrong for Showdown.

Good to know: Exchanges often ask whether the receiving wallet belongs to you. It does: your Showdown wallet is yours, so answer accordingly. New accounts, or funds bought with a bank transfer, are sometimes locked for withdrawal for a few days. The exchange will show this on the send screen. Some exchanges send the first withdrawal to a new address through a manual review. This can take from minutes to a few hours and is on the exchange's side, not on Showdown's. If your exchange charges a fixed withdrawal fee, that fee is taken from the amount you send. What arrives in Showdown is the amount minus that fee. After you send a Solana transfer normally shows up in your Showdown balance within a minute. Tap Refresh in the wallet if you do not see it.You can follow the transaction yourself with the Explorer link in your wallet. If the explorer shows the transfer as confirmed but your balance has not changed after a few minutes, contact support with the transaction ID.

If something went wrong:

- I chose the wrong network. Funds sent on Ethereum, Base, Polygon or any network other than Solana cannot be recovered by Showdown. Contact the sending exchange; in rare cases they can help if the transaction has not left their system yet.

- I sent SOL, USDT or another token to my Showdown address. Only USDC counts toward your balance, but the tokens are not lost. Your Showdown address is a real Solana wallet that you control, so anything sent to it on the Solana network is still yours. To reach it: Open your wallet in Showdown and choose Export private key. Keep the key private: anyone who has it can spend everything in the wallet. Install a Solana wallet app such as Phantom or Solflare and pick Import wallet (or Add wallet) using the private key. The imported wallet shows every token held at your Showdown address, including the SOL or USDT you sent by mistake. From there you can send it back to your exchange, or swap it to USDC inside the wallet app. Swapped USDC stays at the same address and appears in your Showdown balance after a Refresh. Sending or swapping needs a little SOL for network fees. If you sent USDT and hold no SOL, transfer a small amount of SOL (around 0.01 is plenty) to the address first.

- The exchange says "completed" but nothing arrived. Check the Explorer link. If the transaction is not on the Solana network at all, the exchange sent it elsewhere and you need to contact them. If it is confirmed on Solana, contact Showdown support.

- Can I deposit with a card instead? Yes. Choose Credit card on the Deposit tab. Payments are processed by MoonPay, a third party provider, with a minimum of 20 USDC. MoonPay applies its own fees and may require identity verification the first time.
